Marketing Coordinator

Position Status: Part-time (20 hours per week, flexible scheduling)
Reports to: Executive Director

Position Description: The Marketing Coordinator will have primary responsibility for the development and implementation of a comprehensive marketing/communication plan to support the strategic objectives of the Foundation. Specific responsibilities include the following:

  • Plan, prepare, and produce Foundation publications, including:
    • Three Newsletters annually
    • Annual Report
    • Donor education materials
    • Special projects as needed
  • Develop and distribute press releases.
  • Coordinate the assignment of projects to external vendors.
  • Assist in the planning and coordination of donor development events.
  • Provide necessary staff support to the work of the Board of Directors, Marketing & Communications Committee and Development Planning Committee.
  • Routinely update and manage content of Foundation Web site (www.cfwabash.org)
  • Maintain and update Foundation photo library

As a member of the Foundation staff, the individual is also expected to:

  • Work with the executive director and the Development Planning Committee to develop a comprehensive program of public relations that supports the asset development strategy.
  • Work with other members of the staff to become knowledgeable about the Foundation's program of grant making and community leadership.
  • Keep abreast of significant legislative, regulatory and technology changes that affect charitable giving.

Qualifications: The ideal candidate will have experience with the design, layout, and production of newsletters, annual reports and other organizational publications (using Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suite programs). The candidate also will possess excellent organizational skills and will exhibit effective written and oral communication skills. A bachelor's degree is required, along with 3-5 years experience in marketing or other closely related field.
