In early April, Mariah Mobley's received a disappointing letter from the Lilly Endowment Community Scholarship committee informing her that she did not win the prestigious, full-tuition scholarship. Honored at least to be named a finalist, Mobley joined in the praise for Northfield's Emily Eckelbarger, the winner of the scholarship. INDIANAPOLIS –Wabash County has been recognized as an Indiana College Success County in recognition of its work to increase the percentage of Hoosiers with education and training beyond high school. Members from Wabash County accepted the award, which was presented by Indiana Commissioner for Higher Education Teresa Lubbers during a special ceremony held at the Indiana Statehouse on June 9.
